Hello, esteemed readers of this blog, my name is Keyla. I am a volleyball player, have always wanted to be an actress, and am a devoted lover of trying new things. I have been in theater classes, if not dance classes, for as long as I can remember, and I was always sure it was what I wanted to do my whole life. I'm still very dedicated to the art and enjoy participating in shows whenever possible. I constantly try to find a new genre of musical to watch or monologue to learn. In recent years, though, I've come to a realization that as much as I adore the dramatic arts, pursuing it as a career would be extremely too risky when it comes to getting any sort of steady income. In attempting to find some other passion, I took up volleyball, psychology, community projects, and baking. Strange contrast, I know. Though I still keep up with these activities, I was certain that whatever I went after following high school must be something that was still in the same ballpark as acting. So I took up a journalism class, volunteered for a school's musical to be student director, and also volunteered as stage manager for the same school's dance showcases. At that point, I was trying anything that would keep me in the same industry as acting. Nonetheless, I had no more space for more than half of these hobbies after I entered high school. Altogether, that is the full explanation of why I signed up for AICE Media Studies, once again entertaining the idea of pursuing a future in the field of media production. This class is one I wholeheartedly look forward to continuing with and seeing where it might take me.
